The 5 stages of (EX) grief
Elisabeth Kubler-Ross developed the five stages of grief in her 1969 book, On Death and Dying. For years, I have been using those stages for transformation work. While making big changes to an organisation could never equate to the experience of losing a loved one, the process of adapting to an unwanted and substantial change follows the same pattern of adjustment.
Many organisations are making impressive changes to their operational and business models to be more employee-centric, but many are still working their way through those phases.
Think about where you are on that journey.
