Article: We were told not to make users think. We succeeded.

I'm sure I'm not alone in becoming increasingly appalled at the proliferation of unintelligent and spiteful online behaviour, with real life consequences for entire communities. Instead of just wringing my hands (and taking as many breaks as possible from social media), I keep asking myself what role experience designers have played in where we are today, and if we can do any better in future.
