Designing and delivering executive learning at Cannes Lions

Context

I designed and delivered a full day session for the Cannes Creative Leaders Programme at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity.

The session focused on the future of work and employee experience within the creative industries.

The situation

Leaders in creative organisations were navigating significant shifts in how work is structured, how talent is attracted and retained, and how value is created.

There was a need to explore these changes in a structured way, and to translate them into practical actions that could improve employee experience within their own organisations.

The work

I designed a full day learning experience combining research, frameworks, and interactive workshops.

The session explored key themes including the changing nature of merit, talent competition, diversity and flexibility, and the limitations of traditional organisational models within creative industries.

In preparation, I conducted interviews with professionals across marketing and creative sectors to incorporate current perspectives and lived experiences into the session.

This included insights from emerging organisational models, such as new forms of creative collaboration and consultancy.

During the session, I facilitated workshops that enabled participants to apply these insights to their own contexts, identifying opportunities to improve employee experience for their teams.

What changed

The session provided leaders with a more structured understanding of how work is evolving in the creative industries and how this impacts employee experience.

It also enabled them to identify practical opportunities to improve how they support and develop their teams.

What this demonstrates

The ability to design and facilitate executive level learning experiences that translate complex themes into practical organisational action.
